L.     Summary
Wanda Petronski is a Polish girl that goes to a school with kids who make fun of her.  She lives in a poor section of town, she has a funny-sounding last name, and she wears the same light blue dress to school every day.   A girl named Maddie taunted Wanda every day.  Wanda desperately wanted to belong so she told the kids that she had a hundred dresses at home.  The kids turned this into the dress game because every time Wanda was asked how many dresses she had she told them a hundred.
The teacher had students turn in drawings for an art contest and Wanda turned in a hundred drawings of dresses.  Her drawings were the best and she won first prize, but not before her dad moved his family to the big city.  He sent a note to school to tell the teacher that he had moved his family to the big city where Wanda would not be made fun of anymore.  Maddie and Peg search to find Wanda because they felt badly about they had done.  Will they find Wanda?  Will Wanda forgive them for their terrible behavior?  This was a good book about treating others with respect.
